Practical Training of the Employees of the Department for Archival Work and Registry Material of the National Bank of Serbia at the Archives of Serbia and Montenegro The practical training was attended by 12 employees (6 with university level education, 2 with post-secondary level education and 4 with secondary level education). They implemented their practical training at the Department for Archival Material Categorization, the Department for Information, Archival Material Publishing and International Cooperation, as well as at the Department for Supervision, Protection and Application of the Archival Material of the Archives of Serbia and Montenegro. |

Cooperation of the Archives with the History Department of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Belgrade University FONT>Within the cooperation of the Archives of Serbia and Montenegro and the History Department of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Belgrade University, professors of the Department of the History of Yugoslavia, Ljubodrag Dimić, Ph.D. and Mirjana Radojević, Ph.D., together with students of the third and fourth year, visited the Archives of Serbia and Montenegro on 10th November and 5th December 2008. The goal of the visit was to get the students familiar with the Archives, its history, fonds and collections, conditions and means of using the archival material in scientific purposes. This was conducted by Miladin Milošević, the acting Director of the Archives. The students saw the exhibition of archival documents “Yugoslavia in International Relations 1918-1992”, expertly presented by Dušan Jončić, one of the authors of the exhibition. |

Seminar: Historical Sources in History Teaching The Archives of Serbia and Montenegro were visited by history professors of Belgrade secondary and elementary schools on December 13, 2008, as part of the seminar Historical Sources in History Teaching. The seminar was organized by the Duga – Co agency with the support of the Archives of Serbia, whose program has been included into the Catalogue of Programs of Professional Training of Employees Working in the Field of Education for the school year of 2008/2009, reg. no. 147. The objective of the seminar is for professors to educate through their teaching in the best possible manner, students for their future research work and how to use the archival records as a first grade historical source. On this occasion a lecture for 37 professors of history of Belgrade schools was organized at the Archives. Nada Petrović, Head of Information in the Archives of Serbia and Montenegro, informed the professors about the history of the Archives, organization, activities, competencies, fonds and collections, cooperation with researchers etc. All present professors were informed about the exhibition of archival documents “Yugoslavia in International Relations 1918-1992” by Dušan Jončić, one of the authors of the exhibition. | | |
