Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia visited the Archives of Yugoslavia from July 29 to August 2, 2018 consisting of the management, experts from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia, Scientific Institute of the Republic of Indonesia, Ambassador of the Archives of Indonesia and Member of the Parliament, members of the Secretariat of the Committee for the "Memory of the World" of Indonesia.
Delegation from the Archives of Yugoslavia besides the Director of the Archives of Yugoslavia consisted of the representatives of the Diplomatic Archives and of the Group for Cooperation with UNESCO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Director of Filmske Novosti and Professor Ljubodrag Dimić PhD and Aleksandar Raković PhD.
The purpose of this year visit of the Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia to the Archives of Yugoslavia was mutual nomination of documents on the First Conference of Non-aligned Countries held in Belgrade in1961 to the Register of UNESCO "Memory of the World" as well as support of nomination for Sukarno’s Archives for the same Register. The Archives of Yugoslavia approved both nominations supporting them with selected documents and photos of the Archives of Yugoslavia on the First Conference of Nonaligned Countries enriched by the material from Filmske Novosti.
Since the Archives of Yugoslavia signed Memorandum on Cooperation with the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia in 2013 and has several mutual successfully realized projects, Collected Documents Yugoslavia- Indonesia, 1945-1967, being one of them, the plan of mutual activities was agreed for period 2019-2020. Besides cooperation on mentioned nomination of documents, exchange of scanned copes of documents were planned, exchange of delegations, preparation of mutual exhibitions as well as work on preparation of the second volume of collected documents Yugoslavia – Indonesia, 1967-1980.
During their visit to Belgrade, members of Indonesian delegation were enabled to visit Diplomatic Archive, Filmske Novosti, Museum of Yugoslavia and the House of Flowers, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia where the first conference of Nonaligned Countries was held as well as the Park of Friendship and Peace Avenue.
